The Newish Year

Well it's been less than a year since the last time I posted, so that's something. I wanted to update you about our busy lives (as if you don't know everything already due to my life's glue that is the social network).

Number one! I got called to be a Wolf Den leader in the Cub Scouts!!! I know. What were they thinking, giving me responsibilities like this? But don't worry. There are people who can watch me. I love this calling. It's hard and it's crazy, but so much fun and gets me really involved.

Number two! As most of you know, we've been TTC for a little over 3 years. Terribly, terribly difficult times. We've been seeing a specialist about it for a couple months now and, thanks to some wonderful friends and family, we have completed our first round of Intrauterine Insemination (IUI). It's a really romantic process where you get to involve pills, needles, machines, and doctors in the conception of your child/ren. WORTH IT! At least, I hope so. We don't know if it worked, yet. Keep us in your prayers! Thank you again to those who donated and helped us get this far. I don't think we could have done it without those subsidies. Hopefully we won't have to do this again any time soon.

Number three! Wrapping up my 3rd semester this week.... HALLELUJAH! Worst. Semester. Ever. I have to complete my degree from BYU-I online because I don't have the ability to teleport, nor the desire/funds to commute. Let me give you all a word of warning, in case you don't know: Online classes suck. They suck so bad and I can't wait for this to be over! However, I did learn some things so it wasn't a total waste. But I could have learned more in a classroom setting.

Number four! I've taken on dog sitting. Her name is Maggie and we have her quite frequently for long periods of time. It's been determined that it's like someone is paying us to have a dog. The problem is, Oswin hates her. Like really hates her. But she's such a sweetie!

She always sits like this. It's weird.
She thinks she's a lapdog but she's NOT.
It's a great opportunity cause I love doing it and make more than $200 a month just for dog sitting. I recommend it.

Number 5! Last one. We're doing the Dave Ramsey Total Money Makeover!!! We're getting out of debt as fast as we can and making much better financial decisions. We've paid off our car and one of our two credit cards. It's liberating. We are, however, putting the "debt snowball" on hold for a bit due to the medical bills, but we'll be back to it in no time!

Have a great day!
